Social Work Practicum Student

Lilian Tang (she/her) earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and education studies from UCLA. After graduating, she worked as a case manager and community organizer for a non-profit based in Orange County, CA. She is currently attending UW School of Social Work, specializing in Community-Centered Integrative Practice, and will earn her MSW in 2023. Lilian is a passionate life-long learner with an interest in applying community-centered practices of uplifting people and communities marginalized by oppressive systems. She aspires to work alongside BIPOC and first-generation youth and young adults in educational settings by providing holistic mental health support and identity-affirming spaces. As an MSW practicum intern with CHSIE, Lilian is excited to learn more about working in interprofessional healthcare spaces and the ways healthcare systems can be better integrated to serve local communities.
