The IPE Teaching Fellows program aims to develop a community of practice in IPE, where participants will grow their teaching skills and build meaningful interprofessional connections with faculty, staff and students across the health sciences.  

During 2024-25 we look forward to welcoming five IPE Teaching Fellows who represent nursing, social work and medicine:

Lauren Smrcina, MSN, CNM, ARNP, PMH-C, Teaching Associate in School of Nursing

Teresa Busch, LICSW, Manager in Social Work and Care Coordination Department at UW Montlake and Associate Professor in the School of Social Work

Corey Schiffman, MD, Assistant Professor in the Dept of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Margaret Hsu, MD, Medical Director of the FHCC Sickle Cell Pain Clinic and Program Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowships in the Dept of Anesthesiology

Nicola Contreras, DNP, RN, CHSE-A, Director of Simulation Center and Clinical Assistant Professor in School of Nursing
