Our center helps to coordinate several interprofessional education learning opportunities in the classroom, clinic and community throughout the year and are open to all graduate health sciences students and ABSN/BSN students enrolled in a UW program.
Developed and led by Medical Student & Ceramicist, Anders Ledell, "Pathways and Intersections: Ceramic Art & IPE" is one of many sessions offered during part 2 of the IPE Core Curriculum. Part two provides Health Science students with opportunities to practice clinical and interprofessional skills through a diverse range of topics.
The collective art formed by the individual art pieces each student created during the Pathways and Intersections Active Learning Session representing how they came to pursue their respective fields and how their unique pathways intersect with one another to strengthen interprofessional collaboration and values.
The Mobile Health Outreach is a free clinic staffed by student volunteers and clinicians that provides bridge-to-care services to Tiny Home Village residents. Student volunteers learn through hands on experience and from the wisdom and experience every individual volunteer brings with them, creating a unique learning experience every outreach.
